2010 Speakers

Anand Shukla is Acting Chief Executive at Daycare Trust, and took up his position in September 2010. Prior to this position, Anand Shukla was Daycare Trust's Business Director. Anand has worked in social enterprise development at the UK children's charity Barnardos and at the international development charity Allavida. 

Lucy Williams is the project manager for YCVN based in the Early Childhood Unit at NCB.  She has led on the development of the national network over the last three years, including writing the ‘Developing a listening culture' leaflet and overseeing the development of YCVN events and resources.  

Matt Espley has worked in local government since 1996 and at Slough Borough Council since 2003.  He is currently the Principal Accountant (Schools) and his role includes providing day to day support to schools as well as supporting the council’s strategic financial management.  

Julian, has been National Development Manager for NDNA since 2007. He was previously Regional Development Manager for London. Prior to this he held a number of posts, including that of working for VSO in Bulgaria, where he has also worked for DfID, International Development Manager for the Children's Legal Centre, working in Romania and Essex County Council.
